Uddeholm Mirrax™ ESR (formerly Stavax® Supreme) possesses a unique combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and the ability to reach uniform hardness levels throughout large cross sections.
Mirrax™ ESR is an ESR remelted tool steel, this provides a very pure material, with a minimum of inclusions. Purity is a requirement to be able to achieve the desired surface finish; it also contributes to better toughness.
This grade is the right choice for larger tools where corrosion in production is unacceptable and where the requirements for good surface finish are high.
