Suitable for long run tooling where adhesive wear is dominant and/or the risk of chipping or cracking is very high, e.g. blanking, fine blanking and forming of thicker work material such as austenitic stainless steel, mild carbon steels, UHSS, copper and aluminum. Also used for granulator knives and cold forging applications.
