(Powder Metallurgically Produced Tool Steel)
A powder tool steel that has a very well balanced chemical composition for cold work applications. It is superior to other powder steels of the P/M M4 and M3:2 type and to conventional grades such as AISI D2, HSS AISI M2 and M4. It has an excellent combination of very high abrasive wear resistance and good resistance to chipping, not to mention excellent dimensional stability, which reduces the finishing operations.
